ED HERMES FOR PHOENIX
City Council District 4
The People's City Hall
Phoenicians deserve a transparent, responsive, and accountable government where working families can shape decisions and access services. Ed will keep showing up, answering constituent calls, responding to service requests, and helping people navigate City Hall. On the Phoenix City Council, Ed will:
Move formal public City Council meetings to after 5 p.m. so working families can attend and participate.
Open City Hall to walk-ins by making it easier for residents to access services and get help in person.
Make the Phoenix 311 app and the city’s non-emergency line more responsive and user-friendly so residents can report concerns and receive timely assistance.
Institute campaign finance reform and create a matching funds system to elevate residents’ voices and reduce the influence of special interests.
Prevent corporate property owners from blocking neighborhood improvements such as sidewalks, roundabouts, and speed humps.
Implement an independent redistricting commission to redistrict City Council districts after every census.
