An Economy that Works for Everyone
The City of Phoenix should prioritize the creation of good paying jobs by supporting small and mid-sized locally owned businesses to promote economic growth, higher wages, and keep more of our money working here at home. Ed has a vision to build a Phoenix where residents can find good jobs and small business owners from all backgrounds have the support and infrastructure they need to succeed. On the Phoenix City Council, Ed will:
Provide multi-lingual technical assistance for local small businesses by partnering with local community development organizations
Promote union jobs by partnering with them to develop worker training programs, and ensuring that city employees receive a fair, livable wage
Make it easier for small, local businesses to open up shop and expand by streamlining permitting processes
Bring our cities to life by activating city-owned vacant land to create vibrant business corridors with retail, housing, trees, and sidewalks
Ensure the transparent sharing of Phoenix’s economic data so that small and midsized businesses have the necessary information to expand
